The Highway Safety School is a Circuit initiative with the objective of teaching young people about Highway Safety at the facilities located at the emblematic Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana. The Circuit, also organises some major motor events, among many other activities, which this year will see the new project backed by AVAE Driving School. There is an area covering over 20,000 m2 at a strategic location in the Region of Valencia where the climate is a guarantee of success.

Highway Safety seeks to teach citizens responsible behaviour in the use of the public highway, whether as pedestrians, travellers or drivers. This is a process that covers all ages: children, young people, adults and the elderly.

At Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana Ricardo Tormo Highway Safety School, we aim to increase awareness by school children about the importance of prevention and the need for safe mobility, encouraging responsible habits and improving values such as comradeship, respect and team work whilst performing social, educational and teaching action.

Our commitment to Highway Safety which will be the basis of the Highway Safety Education, programme is as follows:

  • To ensure the safety of and responsible behaviour by users.
  • To prepare future pedestrians, journeys and vehicle drivers.
  • To inform and use appropriate means to improve highway safety.

To observe the highway code for orderly, safe use of highways.

The Circuit has large facilities with a good layout where school children can learn to use highways at crossroads regulated by signposts and traffic lights, one-way and two-way streets, roundabouts, pedestrian crossings, pavements and other items and signs. These are some of the situations, among others, that they will come across during the highway safety learning process.

The main advantages we offer through this Highway Safety and Education programme are as follows:

  • Highway Education programme designed by AVAR Driving School.
  • Our own facilities at Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana Ricardo Tormo.
  • Vehicles adapted to each age group.
  • Material designed by the General Directorate of Traffic in their Highway Safety website.
  • Gradual learning process adapted to age groups.
